CHIEF CLUBHOUSE NYC

Experiencing rapid growth after their completion of their first clubhouse in New York’s Tribeca neighborhood, Chief, a private network focused on connecting and supporting woman leaders, initiated an expansion plan that included new clubhouses for New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. VIRALINE was selected as the Architect of Record for the New York City clubhouse, a five-story building located in the Ladies Mile Historic District. VIRALINE worked directly with Chief’s Head of Development to organize the diverse team of interior designer, engineers, lighting designer, expediter, and general contractor. With a strong hospitality focus, the New York location includes a ground level concierge, two floors of meeting rooms, a main event space/lounge with full bar and warming pantry, and a top floor wine bar with additional meeting rooms. With a compressed schedule and limited budget, VIRALINE developed a filing strategy to meet the time line and offered value engineering suggestions throughout the design process to help Chief obtain the best value. As the Covid 19 pandemic hit New York City, services were adapted to assist during the city-mandated stop to construction. Seating plans throughout the building were analyzed to create socially distanced layouts. Throughout construction, VIRALINE worked closely with the general contractor to quickly address unforeseen conditions.
